Look what came in the mail today:
from Simply French Vintage. Who are actually English and spend their summers in France antiquing. |
Vintage 1920’s seed pack labels! Check out the fabulous carrot illustrations. |
French breakfast radishes are apparently not called French in France. |
Cauliflower, Chantenay Carrots, and a lovely Tomato. |
Red Lettuce (oops, actually Chicory) and Basil. I’m going to add some of these images to my listings. A big part of why I like these so much is because much of the inspiration for Cubit’s came from watching the kitchen gardens go by out the train windows in France. I had been working on the business idea for a little while but those gardens really helped me narrow things down. Growing food, no matter where you live, is what it’s all about.
